Enjoy this crash course in creating an improvised radio drama with an epic fantasy theme, and take advantage of the radio drama format’s lack of restrictions: Want dragons in your story? No worries! A four week trek through the mountains? Just describe it! Telekinetic powers wielded by a talking rabbit? Excellent idea!

You will explore storytelling techniques, scene-painting, voice-based character work, and live sound effects. Gain mic experience and put it all to practice at the end, working with the other participants to create a 40 minute, full cast, audio adventure, which will be live streamed from the workshop.

Susan Williams is an improviser, actor, and comedian, with a certificate and diploma in performing arts to prove it. They’ve been doing theatre and performance for 19 years, and improv for about 7 years. They are passionate about creating accessible, inclusive performances, and turning everything into a space battle. Although they are a functionally blind, multiply disabled, queer, theatre nerd, they still have plenty of Coolness Points… 'round here somewhere… possibly down the back of the sofa.
