Double Feature = Double Entertainment

A double feature starring Jonny Potts and Rik Brown comes to the BATS Theatre stage at the New Zealand Improvisation Festival 2015. On Thursday 8 October at 7pm, two talented improvisers will perform two solo acts sure to entertain in Solo Brown and Yes! I am Riverman!

Performing Solo Brown is Melbourne resident Rik Brown who’s performed improv theatre all over the world for 20 years. He performs endlessly with Impro Melbourne and is a member of Spark who have enjoyed success with their improvised shows throughout Australia and New Zealand, including their eponymous festival offering ‘Spark’ in 2013.

Wellingtonian Jonny Potts follows Brown’s act in Yes! I am Riverman! In this one man show audiences will learn everything they ever wanted to know about Whanganui. With Potts as the Riverman, questions about the mighty Whanganui River, 'the Rhine of Maoriland', the Durie Hill Tower, Virginia Lake, Kowhai Park and Majestic Square will be answered.

Jonny's show Loose won Best Stand-up Comedy and Best Writing at the 2015 NZ Fringe Festival Awards. He is the host of the podcasts The Year of Reading Massively and The Witching Hours. Among his stage roles are Friar Lawrence, Mark Antony, and Deputy Prime Minister Brian Talboys in The Bacchanals' award-winning production of Dean Parker's Slouching Toward Bethlehem.

Solo Brown and Yes! I am Riverman! are part of the New Zealand Improvisation Festival 2015 at BATS Theatre. For booking enquiries, visit the BATS Theatre website bats.co.nz
