In 2016 New Zealand Improv Festival returns for its 8th wondrous celebration of all things spontaneous. We're back with 17 shows in five days plus workshops for practitioners, and this time every cast, crew, and production will come together in unique combinations, creating spontaneous comedy and theatre every single night. With a range of shows and directors, and players from all around New Zealand (and the world!) you’re in for a once-in-a-lifetime treat every time.
The Spontaneous Showcase is a special guest directed programme featuring work from New Zealand, Australia and Sweden. Six seasoned improvisors bring their shows to life with a brand new cast gathered just days before. Exploring love, life, death and joy in the moment, you’re in for a once-in-a-lifetime treat every single time. The Spontaneous Showcase 2016 includes Nothing But The Truth,...In Bed, The Museum of Broken Relationships, Death Comes to Us All, Kiddie Time! and The Circle of Sound and Story.
