Lyndon Hood
This workshop provides an introduction to comic mask work, inspired by the techniques clowning and the commedia dell’arte. Through exercises and scenes, you will explore the mask as a tool for performance presence, emotional expression, and movement training.
Lyndon Hood is a Wellington improviser. He has worked with groups including WIT (as a performer, teacher, and co-creative-director, including co-creating their long-running show Attack of the Killer B Movie), Soap Factory, and Scruffy Bunny House team Double Fancy. His interest and training in mask performance (and making) has seen him create shows exploring mask, clown, and improv from the 90s Dunedin Fringe to modern-day Wellington’s Late Night Knife Fight.
