Mel Bee and Matt Carroll

You’ve declared your emotion. You’ve connected to your scene partner(s). The Music has started… and you’re not sure what to do next? This workshop will give you the tools to help you move confidently from scene to song. Recommended for performers with basic knowledge of improv and a willingness to sing, step outside of their comfort zone, and have fun!

Melissa (Mel) Bee has been making up songs since she was performing for her stuffed animals as a child. Most recently, she performed as part of “Poe’d” (WIT) at the NZ Fringe Festival. She has also trained and performed in Chicago, where she was a part of the musical improv house team at Second City Training Center and could be seen performing musical theatre, improv, sketch, and commercial work. She is a graduate of the Second City Training Center Music Program, SCTC Conservatory, and iO Chicago Improv Program.

Matt Carroll is a musician with over 20 years performing experience. He has appeared both as an improviser and musician for Fringe shows Lovecrafted, Poe’d and Attack of the Killer B-Movie, as well as many short-form shows.
